What a perfect building to use a green roof!

We recently built this bird hide into a wildlife garden in a local school, it has a green roof (of course) using native plants and a mix substrates and depths to improve long term plant and invertebrate diversity.
 

inlayed one wall with sheep's wool,  reclaimed stone and logs drilled for solitary bees The viewing slots will soon be camouflaged Kids will look though the vegetation out into their wildlife garden Raised beds planted with plug plants
